VLUTE STUDENTS’ PARTICIPATION IN THE MECHATRONICS SKILL CHALLENGE SUPPORTED BY WORLDSKILLS AND FESTO
On November 22-25, 2021, students of Vinh Long University of Technology Education (VLUTE) participated in the “Mechatronics Skill Challenge” organized by WorldSkills and FESTO.
There are 48 contestants (24 teams) from 18 countries around the world competing and challenging online with the Mechatronics exam conducted by experts from Festo and WorldSkills. Four contestants from Vietnam participated in the Skill Challenge, and they were divided into 2 teams. Team Vietnam 2 includes students Huynh Kim Trong Cuong and Le Tuan Minh from VLUTE, and Nguyen Tan No, M. Eng. (Head, the Mechatronics Department of VLUTE) participated as an expert.

This is an academic playground to improve professional capacity and access to new technologies of the world for students, and technical staff majoring in Mechatronics. The competition is also an opportunity for candidates from around the world to exchange, and importantly, to prepare for the WorldSkills Competition taking place in 2022 in China.
