VLUTE LEADER’S PARTICIPATION IN 2017 GLOBAL TVET POLICY WORKSHOP IN KOREA
On May 16–18, 2017, the Global TVET Policy Workshop with the theme “Strategies of TVET institutions to achieve sustainable development” was held by the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL) and Korea University of Technology and Education (KOREATECH). The workshop aims to not only share the best practices, but also develop relevant policies for TVET institutions in order to achieve sustainable development in the future. Vice Rector, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, is taking part in this international workshop as VLUTE representative.

At the workshop, delegates exchanged and shared on the issues of vocational training in the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution. In fact, the workshop discussed some main issues such as the future of vocational training, how to foster vocational training teachers and successfully strengthen their potential; how to make the best TVET curriculum to meet the training needs of stakeholders in the field; and how to promote job creation based on skills development and employment policy relevant to strengthening the competiveness of TVET institutions.
Within this framework, VLUTE also signed the MOU with KOREATECH in the areas of joint training program and student and lecturer exchanges.

On this occasion, VLUTE signed MOU with 06 other institutions from Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia. The purpose of this MOU is to establish and operate the global TVET-CAMPUS for the purpose of developing competences in the area of TVET. The following areas of cooperation are discussed: Personnel exchange; Cooperation in the area of education and research; Exchange of academic information; and other areas of interests for the Participants.
