FACULTY OF AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

FUNCTIONS

– Being responsible for teaching Theory, Practice and Professional Management of courses, subjects/ modules in two groups: Theory and Practice of Graduate, Undergraduate and Associate training program in Automotive Engineering Technology; Transport Engineering Technology, Marine Engine Repair, and Agricultural Machine Technology;
– Implementing scientific research activities, application of technology transfer, production associated with training, professional training, assessment of vocational skills.

– Organizing and implementing program development, updates of programs, curricula and learning materials in accordance with actual conditions to ensure training quality;
– Planning, organizing teaching, assessing learning results for disciplines and training systems in the Faculty;
– Carrying out scientific research at all levels.

The Faculty currently has 03 workshops for automobile practice, marine engine repair, and tractor repair with an area of over 1500m2. Experimental equipment is very diverse, equipped through stages according to the technology of the US, Japan, the Soviet Union and the Nordic countries. Diversified and synchronous equipment includes 06 modules that are sufficient to train students to participate in national, ASEAN and world skills competitions in Automotive Engineering Technology.
In 2014, the University arranged the 3rd floor in the 11-storey building to build the Faculty’s Office and 5 laboratories specialized in Automotive Engineering Technology to serve training at undergraduate level, scientific research and professional training.

+ Enhancing the consolidation, stabilization and development of training in the field of Automobile Engineering Technology at undergraduate level; opening new training disciplines;
+ Investing in supplementing facilities for training and scientific research;
+ Establishing specialized departments and groups; building specialized and thematic rooms for study, research and scientific reports;
+ Cooperating with HCMC University of Technology, HCMC University of Technology and Education, and associating with businesses in the field of training, scientific research and technology transfer, etc.
– Scientific research
+ Researching topics on fuel saving, minimizing environmental pollution, developing and using clean fuels;
+ Researching and developing electronic textbooks, banks of multiple choice questions;
+ Supporting students to participate in scientific research and technology transfer.
