FACULITY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

FUNCTIONS

– Training disciplines in Machinery Manufacturing Technology, Mechatronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology at university and college levels, and vocational college training with the professions of Metal Cutting Technology, Mechatronics, Welding Technology;
– Providing professional training, short-term training on high technology in the fields of CNC and Mechatronics; training the professional staff of the Faculty according to the needs of society;
– Organizing the national vocational skills examination in the professions of the Faculty;
– Carrying out experimental activities, scientific research, technology application and transfer;
– Implementing cooperation projects in production associated with training.

MISSIONS

– Organizing the learning and teaching activities of specialized courses, subjects/ modules belonged to the Faculty’s management;
– Planning and organizing the short-term training and fostering, high-tech part-time training in the specialized domains of the Faculty;
– Organizing scientific and technological activities; taking initiative in exploring cooperative production projects; associating training with scientific research and production;
– Fostering and assessing the national vocational skills in the professions of the Faculty;
– Managing the teaching, learning and professional work of the Faculty;
– Effectively managing, exploiting and using facilities, and equipment.

FACILITIES

Through the Project on the Development of Technical and Vocational Education, and the National Target Program every year, the Faculty has been equipped with increasingly modern facilities and equipment.
Most of the Faculty’s facilities come from countries with advanced science and technology such as USA, Germany, Russia, Japan, Spain, Denmark and Switzerland.

+ Sensor Measurement Laboratory.
+ Hydraulic-Pneumatic Laboratory.
+ Materials – Technical Measurement Laboratory.
+ Practice room for Reverse Design – Quick modeling with 3D Scanner and 3D System quick modeling machines.
+ Practice room for CAD/CAM/CNC design, programming and simulation – simulation on industrial controllers.

DEVELOPMENT ORIENTATION

At present, the Faculty’s CNC practice workshops have been upgraded to CAD-CAM-CNC High Tech Center, one of the most modern centers in the Mekong Delta region. In the coming years, Vinh Long University of Technology Education will build the key disciplines in which Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Technology has a discipline reaching the international, ASEAN and national standards. In the annual target program, the Faculty continues to be equipped with modern facilities, which is ready for the first undergraduate training courses and subsequent courses of the University.
